At RPPP we do things a little differently.

When your child attends, our goal is to facilitate and support their daily goals.

We believe that when children are fully immersed in play, they are more regulated, and able to holistically grow - physically, cognitively, and emotionally. We limit the amount of structured instruction time, and provide child autonomy whenever possible. This means children choose when they eat, what they engage with, and how they spend their free play.

Program Routine

This is what a typical morning at RPPP looks like:

Each morning, at 9am, we start outside in our beautiful new Greenspace, directly beside our parking lot. (Subject to Safety and Weather conditions)

Next, we head into class. This is between 9:30 and 10:30am, typically decided by the children. Once indoors, we change out of our outerwear, put on indoor shoes and wash hands.

After this, the children are free to resume their free play within the class. They may choose from Open Art, Puzzles, Dramatic play, Practical life, Building, books, games, kinetic sand, water table, etc.

We will remind children to take a snack break, and offer frequent toileting reminders, but the children are encouraged to listen to their bodies, and we do not force eating or washrooms.

At 11:15 we clean up for a circle with songs and story, and then we pack up to head back outside, and will usually be back in our Greenspace by 11:45am.

Pick up time is 12 noon.
